Abstract

DECinfo Locator is an interactive map that lets you access DEC documents and public data about the environmental quality of specific sites in New York State, as well as outdoor recreation information. With more than 65 data layers available, this is the first application that shows both environmental quality monitoring and natural resource information together in one place.

Presenters

Cathy Kittle is the Director of the Bureau of Digital Services for the Office of Communications Services at the Department of Environmental Conservation. She spearheaded the development of DECinfo Locator and is integral to its continued success. Additionally, Cathy oversees NYSDEC’s website and social media presence.

Scott Donnelly leads the Office of Communication Services’ Web Development Team. He joined DEC in February 2019, in part to help with the DECinfo Locator project
