Do you know someone who is passionate about GIS or an individual that has contributed to the betterment of the GIS community here in New York State? Well now’s your chance to nominate a colleague or your team to be recognized amongst your NY GIS peers for their achievements!
Submissions are now being accepted in the four award categories listed below. Review the NYS GIS Association Awards Program Instructions and Procedures for details on each award, eligibility requirements, and procedures for submitting a nomination.
- Lifetime Achievement
- Individual Contributions to the Profession
- GIS Champion Award
- GIS Applications
The nomination form is available here using Google Forms, and here as a MS Word DOCX download. You can submit the Form directly to the Awards committee using the link. Or you can download the Word DOCX template and email.
The deadline for submissions is Friday August 30, 2024.
Winners will be recognized for their achievements at this year’s NYS GIS Association Event

Mission
The mission of the Awards Committee is to manage an annual awards program on behalf of the New York State GIS Association in order to recognize achievement, innovation, and contributions to our profession, and help foster a strong community of GIS Professionals in New York State.
