Erie County Office of GIS | COVID-19 Application/Dashboard Award
The Erie County GIS Team came together to design one of the first live COVID-19 dashboards in NYS. Their dashboard went live on March 19th, 2020 and County Executive Mark Poloncarz showcased it at his press briefing the next day. On March 20th, there were 101,000 views. It then became a crucial tool in the County Executive’s daily briefings and social media updates. It was referred to in all local newspapers and news channels as a central information source.
