2012 NYS GIS Association Conference
The 2012 NYS GIS Association Conference was held in Syracuse on May 15th and 16th.
- Day 1 included informative hands-on workshops and seminars conducted in cooperation with SUNY ESF and O’Brien & Gere Engineers. Day 1 wrapped up with a networking social at the Syracuse OnCenter
- Day 2 took on a different schedule from past conferences. Jeff Howe was the featured keynote speaker and he spoke about crowd sourcing and provided a day-long exercise for conference participants to experience crowd-sourcing first-hand. Many took advantage of the hands-on opportunities at the “App Garden” and “Technology Petting Zoo!” There was also plenty of time to network.
