The 2010 Summit

The 2010 Summit took place in the spectacular setting of Cooperstown, NY.  It was held at the beautiful, historic Otesega Hotel on the shores of Otsego Lake. Attendees raved about the setting, the food, the networking opportunities, and, of course, the thought-provoking speakers.  The event began the evening before with an outstanding reception in the National Baseball Hall of Fame.  There, the Summit attendees renewed acquaintances with old friends, met new ones and engaged the speakers in lively discussions while enjoying great food (and slipping out from time to time to tour the Hall of Fame exhibits).

The next day speakers such as Ted Morgan, President of Skyhook Wireless, Stu Rich, Principal of Penobscot Bay Media and Nicholas Roy, member of MIT's Robust Robotics Group, thrilled the audience with discussions on the latest directions in geospatial technology.  The day was closed out by James Fee, the provocative blog writer and Chief Evangelist for WeoGeo who challenged the audience's thinking with his industry-wide perspectives.  Without exception, attendees left that day filled with new ideas and thrilled by their opportunity to participate in the Summit!
