With the soon-to-be-deprecated status of ArcMap looming, users are making the switch to ArcGIS Pro. ArcGIS Pro provides workflows that are more tightly connected to the entire ArcGIS Platform. Content can be created, shared, and consumed more efficiently, combines 2D and 3D into a single application, and the project-oriented structure provides workflows involving multiple maps and multiple layouts in the same project. We will start with an overview demonstration of what’s new in ArcGIS Pro 3.1. Next, using an online tutorial, the group will follow along with the presenter to migrate an ArcMap map document into an ArcGIS Pro project. Along the way, you’ll learn how to interact with the interface, features, and tasks in the ribbon-based environment. Next, we will discuss data migration tools and workflows to get data out of older unsupported formats. Finally, we will outline the sharing workflow that binds ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online together much better than ArcMap ever did.

Prerequisites: This is a Bring Your Own Device workshop. You will need to download and install ArcGIS Pro 3.1 on your laptop prior to the workshop. Please refer to the ArcGIS Pro system requirements before installing ArcGIS Pro on your Laptop. If you are an existing ArcGIS user current on maintenance, download ArcGIS pro from your MyEsri Portal. If you are a new ArcGIS user, you can download a free trial version by signing up here. Follow the instruction in this link to complete the install.
