8th Annual GeoSpatial Summit

The NYS GIS Association held the 8th annual NYS GeoSpatial Summit on October 22nd, 2014 at the Welch Allyn Lodge in Skaneateles (Charm of the Finger Lakes), New York (PDF version of article). Credit: Buffalo News, Ann Schuhle.

The one-day event, with an evening reception the night before, featured seven excellent keynote speakers who gave talks on a variety of topics: painted custom maps, unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), risk terrain modeling (RTM), online cartographic solutions, mining space-time data patterns, and open source GIS. Attendees also enjoyed time to network with colleagues and GIS professionals from across New York State. Thank you to all our terrific sponsors for making this event a success!
